In this oasis of Egypt
I admire your greatness
immense strech of sand
and treasures of Aegis power.
The door to the orient
open to the sacred family
where every egoist
is of no importance.
In front of the mastry
of the pyramids and among these dunes
I can smell sweet ointment in the air
and I can hear the voice of Allah.
The red sunset and multicoloured lights
reflect in the Nile
the palms and donkeys
drink your green slimy wather.
Etilogy is the source
for those who want to understand
this population so true
and different from its forefathers.
The lotus flowers and papyrus
appear like a message
blending marble
metal, sand and plants.
And while I watch
among these narrow alleyways
of the Ca al kaljli market
I waft around on the smell of the hookah.
