Loss of proportion
I am lost amid a sea of wild emotion,
where my poor soul drifts, weary and undone;
disillusion leads me, one by one,
through shadowed waves that steal devotion.
.
I cannot take back bitter words once spoken,
nor silence thoughts that wounded me with grief;
yet I can mend what’s torn, find my belief,
and rise again, though I am still half- broken.
.
The universe bestows its patient power,
its voice of peace restores my inner flame;
I hold its light - no longer bound by shame -
and bloom again, the woman of the hour.
.
I’ll find the self I lost along the way,
the one who learned to love through her despair;
who gathered strength from pain, and found it fair
to plant her heart where darkness could not stay.
.
I’ll claim again my faith, my will, my pride,
the love they sought to break with cruel disdain;
I’ll heal my wounds and wash away the stain,
and from the void, I’ll turn the rising tide.
.
Now from that pit of grief I start ascending,
toward the light, where hope begins to burn;
and though old ghosts may whisper their return,
my soul forgives - serene, transcending.
.
I pardon those whose words became their weapon,
those who aimed venom straight into my mind;
for in forgiveness, gentle yet refined,
I find the peace that pain had once abandoned.

PERDITA DI PROPORZIONE
.
Perduta sono, in mari di emozioni,
dove l’anima affonda senza meta;
la disillusione mi fa sua profeta,
e il dubbio canta antiche tentazioni.
.
Non posso cancellar parole amare,
né gli echi d’un passato tempestoso;
ma posso ritrovar, nel mio riposo,
la forza che sa ancora perdonare.
.
L’universo mi dona la sua essenza,
mi parla di coraggio e di armonia;
io stringo la sua luce, e in compagnia
del vento torno a credere all’esistenza.
.
Voglio rinascere, donna ritrovata,
che del dolore fa la sua rinascita;
che nelle lacrime trova la genìa
di un sogno nuovo, d’una via dorata.
.
Ritroverò il mio amor, la mia sostanza,
la fede che nessuno può rubare;
curando il cuore, torno a respirare,
e sciolgo il male nella mia costanza.
.
Da quell’abisso oscuro sto salendo,
seguo la luce, cerco la speranza;
e anche se il dubbio tenta la mia danza,
io perdono, vivendo e comprendendo.
.
Perdono chi ferì la mia coscienza,
chi col veleno volle farmi male;
perché nel perdonare trovo il sale
che purifica il mio mare di pazienza.
