Closing circles
There are beings who judge from the clamor,
from the blindness born when noise fills the heart;
they hurl words like aimless embers
and darken the air with the heavy smoke
of wounds that never dared to cross the fire.
.
Wounded by themselves, by names that do not name them,
by a thirst for reflection that ignores the center,
they dwell in the shadow that grows behind the veil
when one forgets that every light
first demands stripping and silence.
.
There are beings who wound without presence,
raising hollow voices to prop up
a fractured self,
a fragile staff of pride
planted in the sand of a life without dance or river.
.
To them I speak -not from the wound,
but from the ancient law of return-:
every beginning remembers its origin,
every ending lifts a veil.
Nothing falls outside the circle of time,
no gesture is lost in the listening dust.
.
May one day the exact echo of their acts
return to their hands
not as punishment,
but as lucid fire,
so they may understand what was thrown
upon what never deserved it.
.
Today I close the circle.
I loosen the invisible knots
that bound my destiny to чуж es thorns.
Let them follow their path;
I return to the center.
.
May what was lived become wind
and not a scar in the flesh of the soul.
May my heart enter the dance,
like the dervish who spins until emptied,
letting go of name, weight, and boundary,
passing through the fire unburned,
until standing naked before the motionless Point,
open, at last,
to the vast stillness
and the shoreless peace of the One.
